Play Therapy

The Association for Play Therapy defines play therapy as an interpersonal process between therapist and client based on an established theoretical orientation model through which play therapists use the therapeutic powers of play to help clients either prevent or resolve psychosocial challenges and reach optimal growth and development.

Play is essential to the development of a growing child. There is so much research behind its importance including providing stress relief, strengthening relationships, inspiring creative expression and helping children express and manage emotions.
